General Characteristics:
Sunflowers are very easy to grow, either by direct sowing seeds immediately into the open ground (even direct sowing is recommended) or through seedlings.
Sunflower seeds are large, easy to sow and germinate quite quickly, already on the 3-4 day you will see the first sprouts.
Direct sowing: simply sow the seeds directly where they are to grow as soon as the danger of return frosts has passed (I sow from late April to late June).
Through seedlings: Start sowing seeds in suitable trays indoors from March to April. Plant the seedlings once the danger of return frosts has passed. This flower is ideal for cut flowers, indispensable in bouquets and requires little care.
Recommendations:
-Provide regular watering
-Young seedlings are recommended to be protected from slugs and snails
-Plants may need reinforcement in open areas
